In Remembrance of Most Worshipful P.M. Cary A. Cope

Uncle Kimo was born on October 1, 2021, in Kona Lodge in the spirit of friendship and brotherly love. He was hand-crafted by Wor. Cary Cope, Past Master. Uncle Kimo’s duties are to bring fellowship, brotherly love, and visitation to all Masonic Lodges that he visits. He will stay with that lodge until he is brought back to his home lodge in a timely manner. He should be displayed in the East. If not displayed, you will befall the wrath of the Past Masters, which we know is an everlasting curse!

The Master of Kona Lodge accepted Uncle Kimo home and a conversation ensued on where Uncle Kimo should travel next. The Master invited Rt. Wor. Bro. Leonard to the west side of the altar to offer Uncle Kimo. Uncle Kimo was accepted on one condition, that he could not guarantee that Uncle Kimo could be returned in a timely manner as stated in his charge.

If you would like to have Uncle Kimo sit in your lodge in the east, please contact Rt. Wor. Bro. Leonard of the 23rd Masonic District, ddgm23mjl@gmail. com, to make arrangements. We would love to come and spread the brotherly love Uncle Kimo brings from Hawaii. He has started to amass a large collection of pins, coins, and a very nice Lincoln Sebastian. Oh, and it should be noted that Uncle Kimo in English is Uncle Jim.

-Rt. Wor. Michael J. Leonard

While on a trip to the big island of Hawaii this past January, Rt. Wor. Michael J. Leonard of the 23rd Masonic District and Past Master of Trinity Lodge, had the privilege and honor to visit the brethren of Kona Lodge F & AM of Hawaii. He was welcomed with friendship and brotherly love and was a welcomed guest as he has been there on other occa-sions. While partaking in the meeting and sitting in the east with Wor. James Lysiuk, Brethren from Kilauea Lodge in Hilo were paying a visit to return the lodge’s

Uncle Kimo has travelled to the 23rd District and beyond. He is hoping to collect as many pieces as possible of lodge memorabilia from around the jurisdiction and beyond to show the brotherly love he brings to all lodges.
